Can the filling quantity in the cups be changed?
The coffee & espresso maker is factory-set to a certain oz amount for each drink /button. You can change this setting as follows: Press the desired button for at least 3 seconds and hold down the button until the desired filling quantity has been reached. The adjustable range varies depending on the machine type. For further information please refer to the operating instructions of the devices.
This filling quantity is saved and remains stored even after you turn off the machine.
Is the machine frost-proof?
Extreme temperatures may damage the pod machine. For this reason, the device may only be used at temperatures above 50 degrees and should be protected from frost. If the K-fee® machine is transported at temperatures below freezing point, all water should be evaporated from the device beforehand. This will prevent residual water from freezing. You can find the instructions for evaporating the machine in the operating manual of your K-fee® machine.
How much power does the capsule machine consume when switched off but plugged in?
This, of course, depends on the device. When the device is turned off but still connected to the power supply, the device (here, the K-fee Wave as an example) consumes less than 0.5 watts.

About machine problems
Answers to questions about machine problems can be found in this section. Don't understand why you have coffee grounds in your cup after brewing, or why your capsule machine is dripping? You can read about this and much more here. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact customer service.
Why is there sometimes a delay in serving drinks?
If the beverage dispensing is delayed, your machine needs to reheat to reach the desired temperature. This often happens when several coffees have been brewed in a row.
Why is no coffee coming out of my machine even though I have pressed a brew button?
This can happen if you completely emptied the water tank during the last brew. In this case, the machine has drawn in a small amount of air. This air then needs to be flushed out without a capsule. Please fill the water tank by simply pressing any brew button a few times in succession. It's important that you don't have a capsule inserted during this time. After a few brews, your machine will draw water again. You can now insert capsules and brew as usual.
Why do I have coffee grounds in my cup after brewing?
In exceptional cases, coffee grounds may leak from the capsule and into the cup. If this happens, please proceed as follows:
- Open the lever and eject the leaking capsule
- Close lever without capsule
- Press the flush button If this problem occurs frequently, please contact our customer service.
The capsule machine is dripping
After each brewing cycle, a few drops of residual liquid may form in the capsules, which may then drip. These are collected in the lower drip tray. Eject the capsule immediately after use to prevent further dripping.
The machine makes a different operating noise after using the water filter
When installing a new filter, the machine must first be rinsed several times. To do this, repeatedly press the rinse button until clear water flows from the spout. Please ensure that there are no capsules in the machine. When installing a new filter, you may notice a change in the operating noise during the first few rinse cycles. This is normal and will not occur again during regular use.
Is liquid collecting in the lower drip tray?
The capsule container is connected to the lower drip tray. This is where the residual liquid from the capsules collects. Please empty this regularly.
The device turns itself off?
The device will automatically shut off if it is not used for 5 minutes. Please note that the device consumes power while connected to the mains (< 0.5 W).
